Centricorp Homes specialises in providing high-quality and compassionate supported living services to individuals aged 18-25, enabling them to maintain their independence and enhance their overall wellbeing.

Our principal aim is to deliver personalised support for each young person that we have in our service, tailored to the individual’s unique needs, background, experience and ambitions. Each young person has his or her own agreed support plan based on the care they require.

  • Provide a safe, nurturing and empowering environment for young people to live in
  • Build the confidence and develop skills needed from our young people so that they successful transition to living independently

  • Address wider support needs and encourage opportunities for personal development and achievement within the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes framework.

In short, our service is aimed at helping Young People to develop and enhance the necessary skills that enables them to live full and independent lives within the local and wider community.

Aims of the Service

Our accommodation provides a safe and comfortable environment with a robust support service with 24 hours direct access to both day and night staff in line with an individual’s needs. In doing so, we are offering an innovative, housing and support service for 16 – 18-year olds, that is particularly effective in engaging, communicating and working with young people.

To ensure high standards of quality, the service is designed and delivered according to the National Minimum Standards: Children’s Homes Regulations and The Supporting People Quality Assurance Framework as far as possible. Whilst adherence to these guidelines is not mandatory, the company recognises the importance of working within a quality framework which provides a useful benchmark for self-assessment and continuous improvement.

  • Ensures consistency through an allocated Key Worker/Mentor system
  • Pays attention to practical self-care needs including health, budgeting, domestic and social skills

  • Nurtures resilience and emotional well-being
  • Supports and encourages positive relationships with families, friends and professionals
  • Meets their social, cultural and individual needs
  • Assists young people leaving care to claim the welfare benefits that they are entitled to
  • Ensures that young people are at the forefront of assessment, planning, reviews and decision making
  • Monitors and evaluates outcomes through structured support planning and regular reporting

Who We Serve

Based on our assessment of a young person’s needs, our accommodation and support services are offered to 16 to 18 Year Olds. The young people we accommodate, and support have varying needs which may include:

  • Autistic spectrum disorder
  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Mental health issues
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Moderate learning disabilities
  • Drug and alcohol abuse
  • Self-harming behaviours
  • Gang involvement
  • Criminal behaviour
  • Low level sexualised behaviour
  • Attachment disorders

We work on the basis of being a “good parent” – providing structure, support, encouragement and guidance together with emotional warmth. Our staff provide positive role models for the young people we support.
